Western Health Advantage President and CEO, Garry Maisel, announces that Jeff Cinciarelli, Sacramento-based health insurance industry veteran, will be joining the organization as its new Chief Sales Officer.
"After a long, national search, I couldn’t be more excited to find our next sales leader right here in Sacramento. We are fortunate to have an industry veteran like Jeff Cinciarelli to help lead us into our next phase of growth." said Garry Maisel.
Cinciarelli will take over a Chief Sales Officer role that was built over the last 22 years by Bill Figenshu who continues to lead the WHA sales operation through the transition and is set to retire July 2, 2019. In this role, Cinciarelli will oversee a 21-person sales team, handling nearly 130,000 members from private and public sector employer groups as well as individual and family accounts both on and off the state exchange – totaling nearly $800,000,000 in gross premiums.
Added Bill Figenshu, “I can’t think of a better successor than Jeff Cinciarelli. He will be able to step in on day one and not miss a beat in WHA’s continued growth and positive impact on the region’s business community. I look forward to working with Jeff during our short transition to make it a seamless process for our broker partners and their clients.”
Cinciarelli joins WHA with more than 25 years of experience in the health insurance industry following a role as Area President for Sacramento with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an insurance brokerage and risk management services organization. Jeff also held the role of Vice President of Commercial Products and Labor & Trust with HealthNet, Inc. During his 20-year tenure with HealthNet, Cinciarelli led the Central Valley’s sales effort by building strong relationships with employer groups and brokers and offering a strategic approach to health coverage.
