As part of WHA’s health plan, urgent care and emergency care services are covered wherever you are in the world. Anytime you travel 100 miles or more away from home, even in a foreign country, you are eligible for Assist America’s assistance services, which include:
Emergency Medical Services: Assist America offers immediate medical consultation, referrals, prompt admission to a qualified hospital, emergency evacuation, medical repatriation and much more.
Non-Medical Emergency Services: Assist America takes care of problems when members need the help, whether it’s replacing glasses or prescriptions that have been left behind or arranging a compassionate visit by a loved one while hospitalized.

Assist America’s phone line is answered 24/7 by 911-certified EMTs, nurses and doctors. All decisions are made on the basis of what’s medically necessary. When calling Assist America at 800.872.1414 or using the app, you’ll need to know your WHA ID number.
