Immunization Awareness Day!

Getting Vaccines Just Got Easier

Vaccines are an essential way to help the body’s immune system learn how to protect the body from illness and build up your body’s natural defenses. Staying current on vaccinations helps protect you and our community against preventable diseases. On June 1, Western Health Advantage expanded coverage and access to many routine vaccines, making them more easily available through nearby pharmacies, at no additional cost to WHA members.

Routine vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) will be available at a $0 copayment when administered at the pharmacy (some restrictions apply). The flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available at $0 for members 3 years of age and older. Other routine vaccines are available at $0 for members 9 years of age and older. These vaccines include tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap); human papillomavirus (HPV); measles, mumps, and rubella; pneumococcal; and meningococcal. Please see below for a full list of covered vaccines. These vaccines will continue to be available at your doctor’s office, but now you have the flexibility to get them at your local network pharmacy as well.

Be sure to present WHA I.D. at the pharmacy to ensure there will be no cost. If you have any questions regarding vaccine coverage, please call WHA’s Member Services at 888.563.2250
